The Feeder Series

Go Motorsport: About

Go Motorsport is a campaign that was started by the MSA to help get people into Motorsport but more importantly, keeping them there. The campaign took off last year with 3 main focal points;

Go Drive

Go See

Go Help

Go Drive

As the name suggests this this is all about getting people into cars, karts and other forms of racing. Although there are already 33,000 competition licence holders in the UK, too often grids are left half empty, Go Drive is about promoting Motorsport that anyone can do, at an affordable cost.

Go See

Anyone who has been to a group D level meeting will testify, club and national Motorsport is great. Tickets are often only £10 or £12 and with a grandstand seat and open paddock on offer, who can say no? Whilst there may be full grandstands at the British Grand Prix each year, Go See is all about getting people into events all over the country, whether Sprints, Hill Climbs, Drag Races, Autotests or Kart meetings, they all have their attraction.

Go Help

In recent times the MSA have realised that the numbers of Volunteers at events are dwindling, some events often only going ahead with the minimum amount of marshals. The MSA are using the Go Motorsport campaign to push forward and get people into the sport; being a marshal, an engineer or even doing the catering, with the emphasis being on retention.

As part of a new series of Go Motorsport related articles, I will be trying out each part of the campaign; see, drive, help. This will include marshalling, attending different types of events and even taking my ARDS test, so keep your eyes on The Feeder Series.
