TFS Meets Michael Lewis
On the Friday before the recent Valencia round of the Formula BMW Europe series took place, I caught up with a guy who’s recently taken the jump across the pond to experience european racing for the first time. American Michael Lewis spent a year in Formula BMW Americas winning the Rookie championship before coming to Europe for the Formula 1 supporting series where he currently sits 12th in the championship with 10 races to go.
After a tough qualifying Michael managed to gain 7 positions finishing in 9th in the first race and after being hit by his team mate in the second race he finished down in 15th. Michael explained that he was working on his 1 lap pace which he’d often struggle with, we talked about his big european move, his career aspirations and he explained just what Midget racing is.
