With the recent announcement of Pirelli’s move into Formula 1 also came the decision by GP2 Motorsport to bring the Italian tyre manufacturer to both GP2 and GP3 by 2011. I met with Pirelli’s Racing Manager to discuss why Pirelli have made the recent move into single seaters, why motorsport is still important and how the development of single seaters helps road car performance.
